Touchstone Center For Crafts Touchstone Center For Crafts Farmington, PA Farmington, PA Temporary Temporary $500 a week $500 a week Touchstone Seasonal Studio Supervisor Touchstone provides the opportunity for a motivated, creative individual to serve as Touchstone's Seasonal Studio Supervisor.
A qualified candidate for the Seasonal Studio Supervisor position, should possess a strong working knowledge of Touchstone's various studios and programming, as they oversee and help facilitate daily operations throughout all studios.
The Studio Supervisor is tasked with supervising Touchstone's studios and Internship Program, to ensure that workshop programming is executed in an efficient, enjoyable, and safe manner.
Touchstones Seasonal Studio Supervisor works approximately 35-40 hours per week and may be asked to assist with non-studio duties in other areas of campus.

Qualifications:
Experience working within a professional, commercial, and/or educational studio; experience facilitating workshops and/or leading technical demonstrations Strong understanding of the Touchstone's studios, materials, tools, and equipment, with a desire to learn more Familiarity with basic studio maintenance of studio tools and equipment Ability to problem solve Must be responsible, flexible, and reliable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage a team of 5-6 individuals Value inclusivity and committed to continue learning on issues related to race, equity, diversity, and inclusion Ability to move heavy items as needed Reliable transportation is necessary Duties Help manage and oversee Touchstone's Internship Program in conjunction with the Programs Manager o Working with Management Interns to establish daily schedules and tasks o Facilitate daily meetings and Weekly studio checks o Making sure all open studio hours are covered Manage and oversee the daily activities in all of Touchstone's studios Ordering studio supplies and equipment (not related to workshops) Checking and ordering all studio consumables (Gases, coal, etc.
) Help with maintenance of studio and equipment under the supervision of the Facilities Manager Overseeing Interns with receiving, inventorying, tracking, and updating of studio materials Ensure a safe working environment in the studios by following and enforcing all safety policies Lead studio and campus tours for visitors and groups, and perform studio demonstrations as needed Check and refill potable water across campus (dorms, studios, etc.
) Maintain the visual appeal of campus common areas by maintaining platers, hanging baskets, clean cigarette receptacles, porch areas, etc.
Assesses, determines, and facilitates/coordinates hospitality needs and duties Inventories, tracks and stocks hospitality items and first aid kits Check/Empty dehumidifiers in dorms and bath house Responds to participant and guest issues as they arise and communicates need-to-know information with other staff members Help with check-in/out procedures for Date Nights and workshops Be 'on call' for guest/maintenance issues Act as a representative of Touchstone Center for Crafts Other duties as assigned To Apply Applications due March 1, 2024 - touchstonecrafts.
